Story pending

After my great-grandfather immigrated from Canada and got his license, he bought one of the nicest looking cars out there on the market. He chose a primrose yellow Triumph TR3A. Triumph (now part of Rover Group, partially owned by BMW) was a British car company known for small, sporty roadsters and developed the SAAB 99’s engine. Despite being small, light, pastel yellow, and very underpowered, he didn’t care. He loved that car, down to the slightest detail. He cherished that car and treated it like a family heirloom (which it is now). He drove it all around Winchester, MA and even fixed it by-hand after it caught fire. A few months before he passed, he told me all about the TR3. He told me about when he bought it, the fire that nearly totaled it, and the memories he had driving it around. He let me touch it, sit inside of it, and taught me how the car ran. Due to its current condition and how it’s been sitting away for years, it may no longer be able to run and will be rejected by the DMV no matter how many times it’s repaired. Despite those issues, this vintage British coupe will always be a reminder of my great-grandfather and the first catalyst in my hobbies relating to cars.
