My story is about Ramadan in Guinea. Ramadan is a holy month of fasting. Fasting is one of the five pillars of islam. How does Ramadan go ?Ramadan is an obligation for all muslim people in the world, it comes only once a year. So a lot of people are excited and also worried because of their ability to fast all day without eating even a small thing. So tomorrow is Ramadan. For adults they must wash (Lorgal) we call it in Fulani. After, at night at 7pm we take an ablution (Wodou) and we go to the mosque to pray, we call it  (Nafougal ) in fulani. Some people pray at home but it's more preferable to do it at the mosque because it's there that you can do more prayer and pray with a lot of people. I often go with my friends but sometimes with adults. When we go early we will find a good place and when we are late we pray outside. After we finish praying we go back home and we prepare what we are going to eat to get ready for the next morning. It is called  (sougouli) in Fulani. We wake up at 4am and we eat. We fast from sunrise to sunset.  In the month of Ramadan we cook in the evening from 2or3pm and we make sure to finish at 6pm because the time of the breaking the  fast is 7pm. At 6 30 pm everyone takes a bath and does ablution and waits for the sunset. I love this moment because everyone in our yard gets together and each one sends different types of foods. Some send (tori), some send (ketoun), some bring (boyri), some bring (gossi).
