The Cary Brick
The Cary Bricks have been passed down in my family for many generations. Back in the early 1900’s my ancestors(My Great Great Grandmothers family), The Cary family immigrated to Troy, NY and started a brick company which became really popular at the time. Once their business was over the leftover bricks were passed down on my Dad’s side of the family. There are many bricks that have been passed down but my family was given the one shown in the picture a couple years ago. These bricks have been an important part of my family for a while. This is also how my Dad got his name, he was named Cary after the Cary family because it was a family name which makes these bricks even more special to us. No one knows exactly where they emigrated from but they came to Troy, NY where a lot of my family still lives. These bricks used to be very popular in the early 1900’s and if you look, you might find one still lying around somewhere. These bricks mean a lot to my family and will continue to be passed down to remember our ancestors who immigrated to America.
