The Burkina Faso Flag
The object that I chose was my flag, Burkina Faso. My whole family came from there. Also both of my grandfathers and my uncle passed away there which is why I chose my flag. It is important because I was born there and we would wear traditional clothing and shoes that have the flag colors and flag pictures on it. The flag colors are red, green, and yellow. The color green represents the agricultural abundance, fertile lands, and hope for a prosperous future. The yellow star A five-pointed star in the middle that acts as the guiding light of the revolution, leadership, and the country's mineral wealth. The color red represents the 1984 socialist revolution, the blood shed during the struggle for independence, and national consciousness. The flag represents my uncle and grandfathers because they lived there since they were born. They passed away because they were sick. My flag is special to me. It was heartbreaking when they passed away because I was trying to visit them but I didn’t make it. They were so kind, sweet, helpful, and acted like my dad. They inspire me to help me never give up in a situation and keep on trying. They help me to do a lot of things with my dad and other uncles. I am so thankful for what they did. The Burkina Faso flag inspired me to do hard stuff and to work hard. Also French to communicate with other people and family members in my country. Until this day, I still remember my uncle and grandfathers and love them even though I am not with them in Africa. It was so wonderful of them helping, protecting, and blessing us.
