the baseball
my story of my father and me about baseball.
In my family we play a baseball game and we play the game when the Licey team wins a game. We compete with my family and we have a baseball game to see who wins. My father and I are the captains and we choose the teams from among my family. My father hasn't done it anymore because since I'm not in my country, the Dominican Republic, we can't do the baseball game. The game lasts more or less like 2 or 3 hours. Sometimes the game of baseball is played by girls against boys and whoever wins gets a gift. Sometimes the gift is a baseball ticket and other times it's money. After the game is over we are going to eat pizza. I like it because baseball is the sport I've played since I was little and it's also my father's favorite sport.
Now that I live in New York, that tradition can no longer be done because I'm not in my country, the Dominican Republic, but when I see the Licey game it reminds me of my father, but I remember that tradition very well and I like it a lot.
