My object is baleada. It is a typical food from Honduras made from a flour tortilla, eggs, avocado, and beans. I especially eat it on Christmas, but I can eat it anytime. First, my grandma taught me how to make it when I was about 12 years old and now my mom makes it with me. When I make baleada, I think about my grandma and my country too. Now that I am in the US, whenever I eat it, I feel comfortable because when I smell it it’s like when I was in Honduras with my family. In the future, I want my kids to learn how to make baleada, too.
