This Teapot was brought to America by my great great uncle and it was gifted to my Grandma by him when she was born in America. The teapot was first purchased in Scotland by my great great uncle when he went back to his home country to visit some family. My great great uncle and his 8 siblings moved from Scotland to the US in 1918 on a German war ship. Drinking Tea is a huge delicacy back in Scotland so my great great uncle and his siblings continued their tradition back in their new home of the US in the state of Illinois. Tea is typically served with Scottish Shortbread, Irish soda bread, and Scones. It would also be eaten with meals like meat pies, fish and chips, and even Mince.
