This object is called a Taoist talisman. It is important to me because it is suppose to being good fortune. It is also used to protect people from evil spirits. My mom puts one in  my book bag every year for the first day of school. The symbols written on it is suppose to protect me throughout the year. I have ones from 2 years ago. It also reminds me how much I’ve grown.
