A few years ago, I went to a festival for Halloween. There was a big maze, so of course I would attempt to go through. Once you got through you could pick a prize. There was a tiny stand, and there were lots of things inside of this red bucket. There were stickers, coloring books, and all sorts of things. But, I saw something else. A scrunchie! Years in the past I’ve heard of scrunchies, but never really liked them. The one I saw was tan and had thin material. I thought it was great! So, I picked it out of the red bucket and went home. While I was walking to the car, I knew I needed a place to put it. I decided to put it on my ankle. Because I thought it was so neat, I thought it brought good luck. So, because I thought it gave me good luck, I’ve worn it ever since. Last year my friend Grace needed some good luck, so I passed it down to her. I gave it to Grace because it was pacer test day. I know she got a good score, so my tan scrunchie works! October 2021 I went back to that festival and got another tan one for myself. I’ve always felt happy that I could share the good luck of the scrunchie to one of my greatest friends. I’m even still wearing it on my ankle to this day! So obviously it has brought some luck. It’s important to me because being at the festival was really fun so now I have a memory, but also because it brings me good luck always. I know that good luck isn’t always real, but I’ll probably still wear it anyway.
