Tamales

Tamales is a food me and my family have been making for a very long period of time. Tamales is something in our family that could also be known as a tradition. This tradition was passed down from my great grandmother which was then passed to my grandmother and then she passed it down to my mother. This tradition will then be passed down to me and my siblings so that we could share it with the next generation to come. Tamales were also made way back in the 8,000 BC by ancient civilization in mexico. Tamales were also known as sacred, as they were seen as the food of the gods. In the 8,000 bc the ancient civilization made these tamales from corn, and then the Spanish started introducing more flavors. For example, they started adding things like meat and lard. Now these tamales are made the way the Spanish made them (with meat) or we add sugar to the corn dough and we also add some raisin's to the dough so that we can give the tamales a sweet flavor and or typically eaten with coffee or milk. Tamales have brought me and my family good memories and have also brought joy to our life. This tradition is something me and my family would continue to enjoy for as long as we live.
