I´m going to talk about tamales. My family makes tamales when it's Thanksgiving or Christmas. Tamales are made with flour, pork, chile (rojo), and corn husks. When we make tamales all the girls help out to make tamales and to make them faster. It takes 4 to 5 hours to cook tamales. There are different types of tamales like any choice of meat, cheese, or sweets like strawberries. When my mom, sister and me help out we always talk about stuff, and laugh about things. When we make tamales we invite family over and enjoy each others company. Tamales are important to our culture because it's been in our tradition for years. We make about 2 to 3 dozens of tamales. It takes a lot of time to make tamales. It's better to have more people to help out. Many places make different kinds of tamales like Honduras, El Salvador, and more.
