Tamales

The tamale recipe we use for Christmas came from my grandma. I grew up eating this once a year on Christmas day. Tamales are made out of corn masa flour, water, chile, mole, meat and a leaf to hold it together. This object is very important to my culture because it comes from Mexico and that is where most of my family comes from. It is also important to my identity because my roots are Mexican and tamales are a mexican food.
