Sweet 15th Ring
When my mom turned 15 she wanted to get herself a necklace but she didn't have enough money to get one. She spent 3 years saving up money so she can get herself the necklace, but in Mexico people had to pay off the jewelry they wanted. If they didn't finish paying it they just get something that's worth the money they already gave. My mom was paying the necklace but once she decided to immigrate to the United States she needed money. So the people at the jewelry place gave her the ring with the number 15th. That ring traveled with her on a very dangerous journey to come here for a better future. Even though she came to the United States at the age of 18 she saved up enough money to get here. The ring was given to me when I turned 15th which was March,9,2015 the ring means a lot to me because it's a symbol of hard work and sacrifices. It also shows that my mom was brave enough to come to the United States and risked her life that's why the ring is very special to me.
