This object isn't passed down through generations like most of the stories are but it still has a huge impact and purpose to my life. My object is a ring that I earned from winning one of the biggest competitions in the world. Its a silver ring that I wear on my right index finger. The ring doesn't have a journey yet but every story needs to start somewhere. My story started not too long ago on May 13, 2018. Earning this ring wasn't just about the fact that I won, it was about what it took me to get here. I have been working for this my entire life and in that moment everything finally paid off. My summit ring connects with me because it has to do with cheer. To some people cheer looks like a stupid hobby where girls just play with pom-poms. That's not the case for me, in this case its my life. It made me the person I am today.  Just because this object hasn't come from different countries or hundreds of years ago doesn't mean that I doesn't share the same purpose as something that does.
