Every summer for the past six years I have had the opportunity to go on a trip with my family. Each year the destination changes, sometimes we drive and other times we fly, it really just depends on the destination. My grandma is the person who organizes our yearly getaways that usually last about a week. It is time that I get to spend with my grandma, aunts, and little sister. It is a time where I am able to relax, see cool places, and make new memories. I chose this to be my artifact because my family really doesn’t have many traditions, and this is one that is quite recent but is still important to me. The reason that these vacations are so important to me is because of the memories that are made. Each and every year I know that I will be able to make new memories that I will remember forever, and be able to talk about those memories with people 30 years from now. They help me to build and strengthen my relationship with each of my family members and have memories with them, even when they are gone. Since my sister and myself are getting older it has shown me how important it is to spend time with the people who are important to you in your life. Whenever I am down or having a rough day I can always look back to those vacations and remember the memories I have made and think of the great times I had. Each and every one of the memories I have made on each trip has a very special place in my heart and is something that I will never forget.
