Spanish coins

Story pending

Although my grandmother lived in Cuba all her life, when my father was born she went to Spain and he obtained silver and gold coins. When my grandfather died in 1983, he left them to my father. They are round silver and gold coins from Spain. My father and grandmother lived in Spain until my father was four years old and then they came to America.  My father told me about these coins when I was a child and that these were the last things given to him by his father. This object means a lot to me because it is the last thing left by my grandfather and although they are only coins, my family still feels like it’s a piece of him with them. My dad has held on to these coins for 33 years and although he was a small child when he came to America, the coins remind him everyday of where he came from. These coins remind me of my Spanish heritage and they keep me closer to my grandfather although he is not with me, I still feel he is.
