This doll was my mother’s when she was a child. When she was younger, she got herself a job and bought a small sewing machine to design and sew her own outfits for the doll. She has always been a very hardworking woman, which eventually drove her to pursue an education in New York City studying fashion design. It was a big leap for her to leave her whole family behind in Canada to start her career but in the end it paid off and she succeeded in the industry doing what she loved to do from the beginning. This doll helped her dream about her future, which is why it is so important to her and why she has kept it to this day.
