Hello there! I would like to tell you about my object. My object is my great, great, great, grandmother, Elizabeth Taughran’s shawl. A shawl is like a scarf, this one is made out of wool and it's a bit itchy. This shawl has a sort of complicated design that looks like a feather or a leaf.       Elizabeth wore this shawl on her wedding day when she was getting married to Patrick Duffy in 1856. Elizabeth was born in Ashton, England and England is where my family on my mom’s side came from. I chose my object because it was quite old and kind of connected me to some of my ancestors because I'm from England and so was she. The shawl made me feel happy because I was closer to my ancestors and it made me happy because the note shows who had it as it was passed down from generation to generation so I know who had it.         I want to know more about my great, great, great, grandmother and why she decided to wear this on her wedding day and why it was so important to her or her family. Anyway I would like to thank you for taking the time to read about my object, bye!
