Shabbat Candle
This is a shabbat candle. Shabbat is a Jewish holiday that my family celebrates every Friday. First you light the candles, then you do a prayer for the wine next you do a prayer for the food. The object is important to my family and me, because we are Jewish. Another reason this is special to me is the object was given to me by Great grandparents who passed them down to us. That’s why this object means so much to me and my family. We also celebrate Hanukkah which is eight days long; we get a present each night. Rosh Hashanah is the new year for Jews. Yom Kippur is a holiday where you think back to all the bad things that you did that year, and you try to make them better. Passover is celebrating that the Jews escaped from slavery. I have two older brothers who had bar mitzvah and we’ve been to Israel, Hungary, Austria, and the Czech Republic all because were Jewish.
