I chose my saxophone because not only does it represent me, but it represents my family and our deep connections with music through our family. Most, if not all, of my family is musically inclined, most playing an instrument. Music for us is a way we live our lives and express ourselves. We surround ourselves in music and we thrive in it. Most if not every, Sunday is filled with music. My grandma sings at our church, and my dad and or grandpa plays bass, my cousin on drums, and my Aunt on the organ. Music for us is more than a hobby, it's a way of life.
