Students' Afro-American Society (SAS). president, Marguerite M. Malloy '83, vice president, Toresa L. Tanks (Jenkins) '84 (during 1981-82 year)   
SAS was our student led forum for social, political, intellectual growth-- preparation for life beyond Vassar. The freedom to engage in this discourse and exercise our budding citizenship is integral to whom we  have all become. 40 years later, we can look back on these rich experiences that shaped us.
