The object I chose is my bracelet which is very important to me because it was given to me by my father. It represents my family's cultural identity by showing the Salvadoran flag on it which I am very happy to display because I am proud to be Salvadoran. My dad immigrated from Sonsonate, El Salvador to Seattle, Washington in the late 2000s. What stands out to me about my dad's moving story is how long and difficult it was for him, and just the fact that he made the journey from El Salvador to Seattle as a young adult. This connects to many other family's stories because their journeys were similar to my fathers.
