Running Horse with Flag
My object is a black wooden horse with a flag on its tail, which is mounted on the wall. I got it from my godparent Teresa, who lives in Kentucky, along with my grandparents. I think one of the coolest things about it is that it represents the Kentucky Derby, which we watch and make predictions on, where the winner gets money, almost every year. Also, the flag on the tail represent the how my family has traveled abroad together twice, though my dad goes there by himself for work, and sometimes gets me and my twin stuff from wherever he goes, the flag being one of them. I think it represents the dare devil/reckless side of me [the horse running wild, and the bright colors, show this] which has been more or less quieted since i fractured my spine jumping off a slide. Still, I can be reckless with my words. Most of my mother’s side of the family lives in Kentucky, so i guess this horse represents that. Also, setting aside relevance, the mess of things on my dresser represents how untidy I am. It is important to my family also because of how it represents my whole mothers side of the family, [most of it], because they live in Kentucky.
