This ring is from my grandmother. It was given to her by her grandmother (my great-great grandma) who brought it with her to exchange it for money when she decided to come to America. This ring has been in our family for close to one hundred years along with other valuables. Luckily Sadie never had to try and sell it and it’s been passed down through the women in our family ever since. When she came to America she was alone and had no money, etc. When she arrived she ended up living in a tenement for her whole life, my Nana being the first person to live in a house of her own.
