Ring
The family that I don't know carried this ring to the U.S and made it possible for my mom to have. My family originated in Hungary, and traveled here. Before my grandma passed away a couple years ago, she told me about the ring and how she got it. Like any other family tradition, her mom had the ring first from her mom, then my grandma got it passed down to her. In my family, this ring is very important and I'm happy that I can be able to pass it down to my kids one day. On Christmas, we especially celebrate and connect to the ring because that's when it got passed down around. This object is important to me because I get the opportunity to keep this tradition alive and understand where my roots are from. This connects to my culture, because my family came here from Hungary and it is a reminder of them and Hungary. This ring allows me to remember my family and know that they came to the U.S to create opportunities.
