Record Player and vinyls
Scratching the surface. A dusty but clean, new but vintage piece that captures many great moments of my life. From the time I was born until now, there has been music playing all throughout my house. It tends to keep me calm from time to time. My parents always told me even before I could walk, all they had to do was play some Stevie Wonder, Micheal Jackson, Biggie, Tribe Called Quest or Sade while they were making my bottle to keep me calm and quiet. Nowadays, my record player gets played almost every Saturday morning. While I'm making my breakfast no matter what kind of weather the day brings, I open my curtains to let some light in, pick a random record from the crates, clean off all the dust that it has collected and just let it play to bring in some peace and joy to the start of my day. It is very relaxing, very soothing. I plan to collect as many vinyls as humanly possible. My dad is a DJ as well, so whenever he's ready to pass on some vinyls I'll be glad to add some of them to my collection. My mom has a lot of classics such as Mary J. Blige, Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill and many more that a lot of people may have forgotten about that she just can't let go of, but I will be waiting patiently until the time is right to pass them over to me or my sister. My sister wants to collect as well, so im looking forward to comparing collections one day. There are a few classics that have made their way to the top in today's music charts that I can't wait to play for my future family to create the same type of feeling for them as it has for me.
