The month of Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. It is considered the holiest month of Muslims and my family. The Quran was revealed to the Prophet Muhamed during Ramadan on Laylat al-Qadr (the night of rower). In my family, fasting is obligatory when you are15 years old. You can not eat in the day over 30 days, but all night my family cooks good food from my country Guinea named Fountie, Torri. Fountie is rice and oil and torri is we mix Cassava with hot water At night we pray together and then take the Quran and read and we could not listen to music in my family. If you’re at home we pray together, all night at my family, we eat almost the same food because when the Ramadan finishes it can take a lot of time, and we will not be eating that same food. That is why each Ramadan we eat all the different foods. The most important thing that I like is at the end because at the end we have a party called Eid al fitr. I remember when I was 10,11 years old when we came back from the morning prayers, my friend and I went out to ask the neighbor if they finished the Ramadan well. They gave us money that made us very happy. In the evening my family organized a party, all of my family cooked a lot of food and we ate it together.
