Quran
My name is Malamine and I’m from Senegal. My object is a quran. The object looks like a book , and the quran I brought to New York is blue and the words are in arabic. Some words are written inside and there is one big writing outside of the quran . The Quran is made from my country Senegal. When I was 7 years old, my father gave me the Quran to go to Arabic School to learn my Religion and to believe the only god is Allah and to understand more detail about my Religion. The Quran came from Saudi Arabia, and they share the Quran with the islamic countries in Africa. The object connects my religion and the special occasions and celebration of the month Ramadan because the Quran came the same month as Ramadan. The object connects my identity to my religion. The object represents me learning more about islamic religion, and when I read the Quran, the Quran makes me more confident to trust God . I am ready to understand more details in Islam.
