My tradition is punta dance. It is important to me and my family, because it is about our Garífuna culture, which is recognized for keeping alive the richness of our customs. Punta is more representative of Honduras and has a rhythm that represents Honduras. It is of Garifuna origin and full of flavor. The places where punta is heard was created by our Garifuna community and we created our dance and music as well as the fedu, that is, a party that we generally use in festivities such as Christmas, New Year's Eve and patron saint festivities.
Mi tradición es punta dance. Es importante para mí y mi familia, porque se trata de nuestra cultura garífuna, que es reconocida por mantener viva la riqueza de nuestras costumbres. Punta es más representativa de Honduras y tiene un ritmo que representa a Honduras.
Es de origen garifuna y lleno de sabor. Los lugares donde se escucha punta fue creado por nuestra comunidad garífuna y nosotros creamos nuestra danza y música así como el fedu, es decir, una fiesta que generalmente utilizamos en festividades como navidad, fin de año y fiestas patronales.
