Puerto Rican Flag in NY Symbol
This picture shows where the majority of my mom’s family comes from, the major city that the family on my mom’s side comes from is New York. Many Puerto Ricans moved to New York when the Spanish-American war occurred and the US took over Puerto Rico in 1898. My mom was born in New York in the year of 1971. Her father and mother were also born in New York some years before. My great, great grandparents were born in Puerto Rico and later moved to New York. New York and Puerto Rico is where most of my family and its history comes from. My mom had a few visits to Puerto Rico as a young girl to visit her Grandparents. I personally never have been to Puerto Rico myself but I really want to visit someday to see important landmarks to my family.
