Generational Dominoes

My grandma came to the United States from Puerto Rico in 1962, when she was 15 years old. She came here with her 6 other siblings. Her and her siblings were nervous to come to the United States and at the time couldn’t speak English very well. One thing that helped them get through those tough times was playing dominoes with each other. My grandma, being the oldest, taught all her siblings how to play. She and her siblings played with the dominoes. Dominoes have been played in my family for many generations. It is something we play at family gatherings and enjoy very much. These dominoes that have been passed down to her are continuing to be passed down and have become an important part of our family. My grandma continues to teach me and my sister the techniques and knowledge of playing dominoes. My grandma is the best domino player and always beats me and my sister. The dominoes will soon be passed to my mom and then to me. I will make sure to take care of the dominoes and pass them down as well as the knowledge of playing to my kids. It has been in my family for generations, the best I can do is carry it on.
