The one of many of my favorite parts of my culture (Being a Nuyorican) is being able to celebrate with other proud nuyorican's who are just as fun, loud and proud as me. This all started for my family in 1988 in Spanish harlem, Manhattan (E 118th st). It was the start of June and the summer season; 3 sisters were going to join a local festival with some neighborhood friends, That day trip became a yearly summer tradition for my family and many others. This festival is a time for people to talk, dance, eat and start of the summer!
