My great grandmother, Helen Gerhold used to use this prayer book everyday, for all of her life. She was Polish and a devout Catholic, who would walk to her church that was two blocks away everyday. Prayer was extremely important to her and her life that she willed it to my mother hoping this book would have the same impact that it did on her. Before my mother never prayed but being close to her grandmother she took upon praying after her passing. This small leather bound book titled "The Prisoner of Love", once having detailed gold trimmings is extremely important to my family, and will be passed down to me to be loved cherished.
