My object is a porcelain doll that came from Spain. My parents traveled to Spain for a vacation and bought this doll for my great grandmother. My great grandmother loved collecting antiques, she traveled places around the world just to collect these dolls. This very one is a flamenco dancer. Brown hair, white and blue dress, and very fragile. The doll is made of bisque porcelain. I don’t know too much about that material but it feels very smooth and glossy.I chose this artifact for one big reason. I loved my great grandmother. Her name was Rosemarie Marzano. She passed when I was 6, so I didn’t know too much about her. That's why I have tons of questions about her and the doll.

  • When did my great grandma start collecting these?
  • Did anything inspire her to start collecting antiques?
  • How many did she collect?
  • How many places did she travel to collect these?
  • What was her favorite antique? (If she had one)
I also love the doll, I've never owned something so interesting and beautiful. I hope I get to learn more about this magnificent doll, and about my great grandma.
