Hi my name is Gabriella. I am half Latin American. My object is the rain poncho. Some are made of wool and some are made of plastic. The wool ones are connected to the Mexican culture. The plastic ones are Ecuadorian related.

My grandmother made me a Mexican version of the poncho. She passed away almost four and a half years ago. The poncho made me feel warm and comfortable. It reminds me of the time she tried to teach me Spanish. Also the food she served me such as chicken and rice, also sugar-covered-almonds. To be honest, it was delicious, or as they say in Spanish cultures, delicioso! This is important to me and my culture because some people wear it during Spanish festivals. This is important to me because it shows what my culture wears and its tradition.
