Pollo Chuco
Me and my family we are from Honduras. One of the things that my family likes to do is cook. So on holidays especially on Christmas, at night my mother with my older sister, my cousin and my aunt prepare a food called Pollo Chuco. The Pollo Chuco is a food based on fried chicken with tajadas (plantains), vegetables, and sauce. I remember when I was 7 years old, I was playing with my cousins and we were in a town where my grandmother lived. And then I could smell the smell of the dish and I went to see how my relatives prepared it. And they did it while they talked and laughed. It is very popular in my country and also in my family. Every time when I eat it I feel so cheerful and comfortable because of the delicious flavor and it reflects the rich culture and gastronomy of my country. Now I live in New York and my family is still cooking Pollo Chuko. That is important to me because it represents my identity, culture and my nationality.
