The object that I chose was my family's old Polish beer mug that my great-grandfather brought from Poland. I think it truly is a great way to connect to the traditions and history my family passed down, even though I was born and raised in America.The story behind this mug isn't as important as what it represents. I feel connected to it because it's directly part of families polish roots by coming from poland, and it reminds me that my family came from somewhere different before becoming a part of American life and culture. What it says to be American is that it shows how diverse our country is and how so many people have come from different places and backgrounds but we still are all connected through the fact that we are american
