Pointe Class
This picture is of my mom, Kaysi, doing pointe and ballet. This picture is the coming end of her long career and the start of mine. She started ballet at 4, and the older she got, the more dance styles she did. She started it to have fun with family and friends and to experience more activities. She began dancing ballet with her sister and enjoyed it so much that she continued doing it for years. She loved dancing but wished she could do more of it, so she decided if she had kids, they would dance more than she got to. She regretted leaving because she loved it so much. She went years without doing any dance at all and went to work in an office not dancing much at all unless it was with family and stopped performing. A few years later, she started watching Dance Moms. She saw how well-rounded the dancers were and wished she danced like that. So she decided when she got kids they would dance at a studio like that so they get the most out of it. In the end, she got what she wanted in her family. Once she had daughters that were two years apart and wanted them to be like her and her sister dancing together. Now I am following in her footsteps, and I’m going on point soon. I use her pointe shoes now just like she did. Kaysi was able to give me the dance career she wanted.
