This was my great, great, great grandfather's pocket watch that has been passed down from generation to generation. Coming from the time period around the Great Depression (it was built approximately in 1919), it holds historical significance, though it especially holds sentimental value to my family. We have several items such as this that give us glimpses into the lives of our ancestors, and they help to remind us of our family history and our relatives' stories. While it no longer functions as a working watch, we continue to take care of it and keep it in its restored condition.
