For my personal story, I choose colourful game cards because they remind me of a special time in my childhood. When I was around 7 to 9 years old, my uncle taught me how to play card games. Whenever, I see a deck of cards, it brings back my memories of living in Belarus. I used to visit my uncle whenever I was bored, and we would spend time playing together. To me, these cards represent more than just a game-- they symbolize tradition and the connection passed down from generation to generation, not the actual deck of cards but the games you can play with inside them. Game cards were originally invented in China, but over time they spread throughout Europe and eventually the entire world. I also remember playing card games with my grandpa, and sometimes when I won he would give me candy or a little bit of money. Those moments, we’re thankful and happy, made the game more special!
