Throughout my entire childhood there was one fully repeating factor, picnics. Picnics in Prospect park was a huge part of  summer and spring time. It was a place full of laughter, joy, and memories. I don’t remember one time that my birthday parties weren’t in prospect park with my family and friends. No matter how anyone in my family was feeling, every Sunday afternoon we would go out for a picnic. Everyone in my family got to have a fun relaxed day that really shaped our bonding, with frisbee, volleyball and more. As I went into kindergarten in 2012, picnics became less frequent and more factors came into play, especially when my parents got separated. Even though I was young I understood the fact my clothes were getting split up and moved around to a new house. While all of this was happening, my parents knew how much the picnics meant to me and my brother, so they continued them. All the problems they were going through, and the stress around the divorce, they put aside to make me and my brother happy. Looking back now this set a prime example for me and my relationships. It allowed me not only to be comfortable with people I love but also to accept when some pass. Childhood picnics helped me build relationships with my family and allowed me to view relationships from a different perspective on relationships in general.
