Wood Upright Piano

I chose this object because I have a strong connection to music. Music is very important to me and sort of runs in my family. It started with my dad who is a musician, and it's been passed down. It's been passed down from my dad to my sister, to my other sister (she couldn't feel the music like us), and then to me. I feel like music is so important to the world and to cultures. Me being Mexican American, there is so much influence that music has in my life. But I specifically chose the piano because it was fully my choice to learn. I wasn't forced to take lessons by my parents, I was never planning on playing, but one day I got up, pulled a small electric piano out, set it down on my living room floor, and started playing. I didn't think that day would've caused me to still continue and love playing. I started playing only from YouTube and I sort of took off from there, that day brought an influence that I was very interested in the piano. The wide variety of different pianos, the beautiful songs you can play piano, and apparently girls like the piano so that is also a plus. Besides those things though, that one day influenced me to have two electric pianos, love piano stores, and playing these beautiful songs that's sound can't be recreated on any other instrument.
