Phone
My object is a phone. The cellphone was invented in 1973. Phones are used for many things. They are used for jobs, making appointments, emergencies, etc. When immigrants wanted to immigrate to the U.S, they couldn't just use a phone and call to make an appointment for that. They also couldn't call 911 for emergencies. But time has changed. Most parents don't let kids have a phone until they are in their teens. I got lucky because I have one, and I'm 11. To be honest I only use my phone for games, text/call, Youtube and music. My auntie says that she has never had a phone until she was in her teens. I was surprised. For me being in my world without phone's is terrifying, but we have it easy, immigrants didn't have them.
