Pesos
The object I have chosen to talk about from what my parents brought during their immigration expierence is pesos. Pesos is money from Mexico. The reason to why I chose to talk about Pesos instead of the other things my parents brought during their immigration experience is because the money over there in Mexico was changes twice they don’t make the original anymore and my parents still have the original. It is worth a lot if you were to sell it, but we won’t. Pesos can come in as a coin shape or dollar shape. The coin Pesos usually look live the inside silver and the outside gold and sometimes switched around depending on it’s value. The dollar Pesos come usually in different colors like blue, peach, red, light brown and green but not like the type of green dollar we pay with in America. On the dollar pesos it shows pictures of important people from Mexico. Pesos are mad out of polymer, and the rest is made of cotton paper. The object is used for paying over there in Mexico if you try to pay here in America they wouldn’t accept it. Fun fact 20 Pesos in dollar form would be worth $1USD. Nobody in my family uses it I mean they use to before they changed. I dont believe they will ever use it because its valuable and one of a kind. The first time I learned about this object is when i was little maybe 3 years old when my dad showed me what it was, he usually keeps it in his wallet. What Pesos can show me and my identity is since I’m Mexican, and Pesos comes from Mexico. How this object Pesos make me feel is lucky that we have this one of a kind money that isn’t made anymore.
