Peruvian Bracelet
My family's artifact is a handmade bracelet from Peru that my mother gave to me. My mom would find these beautiful bracelets at the markets in Peru. They usually cost S/1 to S/3 (soles) (which is $.31-$1.00 in U.S.) They come in array of colors and designs. The one my mother gave me has blue, red, pink, white, and green string.
This object is important to my immigration story because my mom would wear these kinds of bracelets during her time traveling to the United States. These bracelets are also important to my culture because they are from Peru. And I am Peruvian. I enjoy wearing these kinds of bracelets that my mom gave me because it’s nice to where something everyday that symbolizes my culture.
