British Passport from my mother when she was 13 years old.

The picture in this passport is of my mother. It was her first time getting and a passport and traveling. My family migrated from England to the United  States on May/ 10th/1981. My grandparents choose to come to America because my grandfathers cousin told him there was job opportunities in America. He came down here with the promise of having a job as Glazier. My grandmother didn't mind picking up and moving her whole life to another  country due to her religion. My grandmother  is a Seven Day Adventist and herd there was  a greater presences in the Seven Day Adventist community in America; she wanted my mother and her five other siblings to go an Adventist school in America. Like most people who migrate to America, My grandparents got the culture shock of a life time and realized America was not the land of equal opportunity. They had rough times when they first moved to America. My grandmother who never worked had to work in America. She found a job as. Seamstress as well as a baby sitter. My grandmother was fortunate to have two bachelor's and Master's degree and eventually got a job as part time teacher in one of the Seven day Adventist schools. After year's  of working hard they were finally able to buy a house in Brooklyn and send all their kids to college.
