Story pending

Perched up on the main desktop, remains two yellowed out speakers. Both crooked, held together with duct tape and the trust of my parents. Ever since I was little, I would see these speakers put up in the same place, and slowly get older with me. They’ve heard all the different music we’ve listened to over the years, through their old and rusted soundbytes. Music has always been important to me, and more important from these speakers. From speakers once white and new, is now a monument to how far we have come. From the origin of my parents freshly arriving in New York, this particular object is seen as a symbol of growth, as a trophy for change and growth. We have had plenty of opportunities to get better, newer and louder speakers, but we as a family have chosen to keep them the way they are, carefully mended, and still in its great use.
