In my house we have an old farm table. My mom inherited it from her grandma who had a farm. We don’t use the table except for Thanksgiving and then we cover it with a tablecloth so as to not ruin the table. It’s very special to eat at this table during Thanksgiving because it’s where past members in my family, including my mom have eaten. This table is very important to our family because it came from an old family run farm in Indiana. Our ancestors immigrated from Europe and started farming just like many other immigrants of that time. This is unique because this table has been moved wherever we go and it hasn’t stayed at its original place in Indiana. This table will continue to be passed down for generations in our family long past my existence.
