On my mother's side of the family my ancestors immigrated to America around in the 1600’s from England. My great great great grandmother had these old books for years and has been passed on for a very long time. These stories were read to my mother when she was a little girl and now the books are incredibly fragile and partially broken. These books were a huge part to my family's childhood. However, these books are now too old and fragile to be read so I never experienced the stories myself, I have only seen them once or twice. When my past relatives decided to emigrate from England and to immigrate to the new world “America” they decided to bring a little something to remind them of their home. So, they took their books and read them to their children and their children and their children as well over and over so the stories went on and on along with the important  unwritten story of the books and where they came from. When interviewing my mother she stated, “ The books are very important to my family and have been passed down for years so they are very fragile, that's why I’ve kept them up in the cabinet for years.”
