I watched a video about Viet Thanh Nguyen, and he treasures the picture of his parent’s grocery store.

An object that is important to me is the Christmas ornament that my Choir Director gave me for doing Lessons and Carols. The ornament is a cut up piece of music that we performed inside a glass sphere. It is important to me because the concerts leading up to it were very draining. There was a lot of English homework due around Winter Break. Because of this, finding time to practice was difficult and stressful. So, this ornament importantly symbolizes perseverance, resilience, and hope to me.
